Murals & Trompe l'oeil
The concept of the artistic room has been around even longer than the notion of building -- the earliest evidence of human artwork survives only on cave walls today. Murals have been in use throughout the ages and are always very much in style.
Put an outdoor scene in your kitchen, angels flying through your bathroom or a fantastic scene in your kids room. You can even put a room below sea level. If you're looking for something a little more subtle, you can have something as simple as a vine or a bough of flowers crowning your room. Murals can also be combined with faux finishes and textured finishes for that extra custom look.
Trompe l’oeil (pronounced trohmp loy) means literally “eye-fooling” in French. It's a form of illusionistic painting that typically depicts objects as if they truly exist at the surface of the painting. It is achieved by the use of extreme perspective and cast shadows among other effects. Trompe l’oeil is often used to add a window where one can not be, or to extend a hallway beyond the limits of space. You'll find examples of trampe l'oeil in my galleries as well. I can paint almost anything, so the sky is the limit. And remember, murals aren’t just for caves anymore.
